Frequently asked questions
Questions about levels?
Can I start directly at Intermediate?
We recommend starting with Beginners even if you've done Pilates elsewhere: every studio and every Reformer is a little different. After your first classes your instructor will tell you if you're ready for Intermediate.
I'm sporty: do I still need to start with Beginners?
Yes: the Reformer takes technique and control more than strength. People who are already fit learn the basics quickly and move up when the instructor thinks it's right.
What if a class is too hard for me?
No problem: the instructor offers easier variations of every exercise and you can always pause or ask for help. If needed, they'll suggest going back to the previous level for a while.
Can I do Reformer Pilates during pregnancy or with back pain?
During pregnancy yes, with your doctor's approval. With back pain, controlled movements often help, but talk to your doctor first. In both cases let your instructor know so they can adapt the exercises.
